Registration

All residents, new and current, must complete registration to maintain residency at International House each semester, regardless of whether they have submitted similar documents previously.

It is imperative all residents complete registration should an event in which medical insurance or an emergency contact is needed occur, in addition to so the Admissions Office can verify that all residents are eligible to live at the House.

Fall 2024 registration deadline:

Tuesday, October 1 @ 11:59pm. 

Registration components

To complete registration, log onto the application portal and select “Registration” under the menu tab. Then, on the portal:

Upload verification of eligibility

Eligibility verification must show that you are a full-time student, intern, trainee, or visiting scholar. This may include

  • a list of the classes you are registered for during the upcoming semester

  • a tuition statement for the upcoming semester/academic year

  • a letter from your school verifying full-time enrollment (NOT admission) or visiting scholar status

  • a letter from your employer including the dates of your employment or internship

Upload verification of medical insurance coverage

Proof of medical insurance coverage may include

  • your insurance card

  • a tuition statement showing a charge for medical insurance

  • a copy of your policy

Update/confirm the “My Details” section on the portal

This section will detail your personal and emergency contact information for the Admissions Office to keep on file should an emergency occur.

Sign your Resident Membership Agreement

Admitted applicants can sign their RMA digitally once they have completed their reservation deposit. All residents must sign their RMA by the Registration deadline.

Confirm payment of the semester’s room charges and fees in full

Please verify that your account is paid and/or up to date with the Bursar’s Office.

All documents must include your first and last name, and must be dated from within 6 months to complete registration. 

The following documents do NOT qualify for registration:

  • Any documents that do not include your first and last name

  • Any documents that do not contain the proper dates

  • An I-20 or F-1 visa

  • An acceptance letter from your institution

If you submit any documentation that does not qualify for registration, your registration will continue to be marked as incomplete.

Residents who do not complete registration by the deadline will be charged a $30 late registration fee and must complete it in the following week to avoid incurring additional fees. 

If you are not able to meet all five components of registration by the above deadline, to avoid any late charges, please contact the Admissions Office or make an appointment to meet in person.
